VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:

Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)
HOW DO I SHOW MY EMAIL ADDRESS ALONG WITH MY USERNAME? You can LogIn on the Forum, and select PREFERENCES. On this page Members can add optional information such as their City,State, Country; Occupation; Hobbies: list a Homepage; list AOL Instant Messanger Handle; Signature; "Make Email Address viewable to others;" and even change the number of Default Topics shown on a page. WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

Hello all,
I am helping a friend assemble a basket case 37 Phaeton and have some questions regarding the windshield installation.
First, is the glass the same as convertibles and woodies? 2 door Phaeton same as 4 door? Do not have one for a pattern.
Second, when installing the stainless trim to pinch weld of the windshield frame, is any sealant or rubber used?
I have done a 36 convertible sedan windshield install and several late 40s, but this is a bit different.

There are a lot of '37 members who should be able to help you with your questions.

The Club has a 1937 Ford softbound book which your friend should purchase.
Go to the blue section on the left of your screen, click on "Online Store", then go to the link for "Ford Books".

Thanks Tom,
The 37 book is on the way, ordered it a couple days ago.
I do like to source info from more than one place and the club book I have for late 40s woodie is great for details of the cars appearance, but a little short on assembly techniques.
Always a little trick or two I miss on first attempt, it seems.

Hi Tim:
I have the original 1937 Body Parts List for the 1937 models and it indicates that the windshield glass for the Phaeton (model 78-750), Roadster (model 78-710), Convertible sedan (model 78-740), and Station Wagons...aka woodies (models 78-790-A and -B) is the same and it is part number 78-711250. 78-711250 is described as "Glass (Windshield) Assy". I assume this is for each windshield glass half (there is not a qty reqd in the list) and since it is an "assy" I would assume it means it is an assembly of glass laminates that makes it a single piece of safety glass. Here is what appears to be the related parts in the listing for the windshield glass:
1. Strip (windshield finish) outer-R.H. p/n 78-741234
2. Strip (windshield finish) outer-L.H. p/n 78-741234
3. Strip (windshield weather) assy-R.H. p/n 78-741290
4. Strip (windshield weather) assy-L.H. p/n 78-741291
5. Strip (windshield side finish) R.H. p/n 78-711290-B (33013-S13 SCREW)
6. Strip (windshield side finish) L.H. p/n 78-711291-B (33013-S13 SCREW)
7. Strip (windshield center finish) p/n 78-711292 (32995-S13 SCREW)
8. Strip (windshield glass retaining)-use with thick glass p/n 48-18755-A
9. Strip (windshield glass retaining)-use with thin glass p/n 48-18755-B

If you notice items #8 and #9 seem to indicate that there may be different thicknesses of glass used on the 1937 models and this would not surprise me as they made MANY changes in designs in this model year. Sorry I cannot be of any help for the removal and installation as I have not done this on my 37 Phaeton...yet. I have the 1937 Ford Book and it does not have any detailed info on the windshield glass installation so I dont think it will be of any help to you, but the discussion on windshield glass is on page 2-19. Like Tom said, you will have to contact a person that has replaced the glass on any of the aforementioned models to find out exactly how it should be done.
