As I recall the '38 wheels are 5 on 10", 16" x 4.5.. Which is the same '36-39 except the V8 60 wheels which are narrow. As a general rule Ford wheels are stamped with the month and year.

The specified bolt circle diameter for the 1936- 1939 Ford 16" x 4" wheels is 10.25 inches. There 5 lug nuts. These are known as wide five wheels.

Op's had a brain hiccup.. '36-39 wheels are 16 x 4", bolt pattern is 5 lug 10.25". According to the EFV8 35-36 book, Standard model 36 Ford had a 3.5" wide wheel which is the same as the 37-39 V8 60's. As I stated in my earlier posting to this thread, the wheels generally are stamped with Ford and or KH and the month and year.. The date stamp is generally on the inner side of the rim adjacent to the valve stem opening.
