What type of clips hold the chrome strips on the glove box door on a 40 deluxe? The bottom strip on mine rattles and I would like to tightened it up but I do not want to pull off until I find out what is behind it????Anyone have any photos?

They are called speed nuts. You no doubt have seen them. They are a near flat piece of spring steel with a hole in the middle and slots cut to the hole. The speed nut is simply pushed over the shaft (peg) of the chrome strip. These are not designed to be removed. However, with care, they can be. Chances are if the chrome strips rattle on your dash, one or more of the pegs have broken. Go to eBay and check item number:401238239169 There's a good photo of the clips. Mike "Kube" Kubarth

Mine, on the glove box, had one stud broken off so I just put a little "GOOP" on it with a tooth pick, put it in place, and put a little piece of masking tape on it to hold it in place. The next day, I took the masking tape off. FIXED!!! That "GOOP" is a very good product and If I would ever want to replace the piece, I would just run a razor blade behind it very carefully, and it would come off, and leave no damage.
