Howie, First welcome. Your car looks great. Now a couple of suggestions. 1. Put your general location and email into your profile. 2. Start a new discussion and delete this one. Otherwise, it will soon become difficult to know if comments relate to your problem or flatfoot’s problem. 3. Join a local club if you haven’t already (see https://www.earlyfordv8.org/Regional_Club_Directory.cfm). Ask if anyone has a speedometer they could loan you to see if that is where the problem is located. Charlie Stephens

Howie, Welcome and congratulations on a beautiful new car! I would suggest you start a new thread so members can pay attention to your issues specifically. Ken

Hello all, I just became the proud owner of a 1935 4-door. The speedo does not work. I do have rotation of cable at end by speedo. I have zero history or anything other than a set of keys and the title. I’m hoping speedo is good but speedo cable is wrong or not engaged. Any help is appreciated.

Mike, Tire size wouldn't complete the picture if we don't know the rear end ratio and I doubt he knows that. Charlie Stephens

Flatfoot, There were different tire and wheel combinations offered from the factory. So, again, I would ask, what size tires do you have?

CHARLIE, THE "TURTLE" IS THE DRIVEN GEAR, NOT THE DRIVE GEAR.

Check the odometer over a measured mile. If it is off by the same amount you probably have the wrong drive gear (the one that attaches to the torque tube) for the speedometer. Charlie Stephens
