Stu, What is the size of the thumb screw, diameter, thread, length. Looks familiar like I may have some in all my junk.

Thanks. I know Tractor Supply has some with coarse thread I could use but I am afraid of removing the 24 thread nut because it would be my luck that the cage would break, so I will leave with a bolt. Don

I just noticed, looking at the tool list Lin Stacey sent me, that he has a 5/16-24 thumb screw with integral 1" washer zinc plated for $2.

Yup, 5/16" x 24 tpi. Good to know that Lin has them available.
