I looked that item up on eBay. The two bolt adapter plate can be removed to do the three bolt type distributors.

Thanks for the info, now that I look at it again, I see that. Do these come available very often or is the asking price reasonable.

You may or may not know this but just in case: Go to eBay and get to the "advanced search" area. Type in "KRW timing fixture" and check the appropriate box "sold items". This will bring up all the fixtures that have actually sold and show the selling prices. These do come up for sale with some frequency. the $349 seems to be typically in the ballpark. However, eBay is quite fickle and these go for as high as $700 with some frequency. I have sold many of these. All have brought between $350 and $750. The $one that went for $750 was in perfect - as new condition. If you were not interested in that two bolt adapter, you could sell that on eBay and would most likely fetch near $100, perhaps more, for it.

Well I got a lesson in EBAY 101. Thought I had the fixture until the last 10 seconds of the sale, then it was gone for $50 over my bid and I wasnt fast enough. O well, next time.

It's called "sniping," and there are services that will do it for you/protect you from it. One such is AuctionStealer: http://www.auctionstealer.com/home.cfm

I don't go near Epay anymore, but when I did, I had my snipe set for 3 seconds before closing. It was fun to see the bids come in, all short of my winning bid just a dollar more than the previous. Then I wised up and quit spending my money on stuff I didn't need!
