I am considering the purchase of a 51 two door sedan with Fordamatic. I am ignorant about these transmisions, so am wondering about inherant or otherwise goofy issues with these transmisions. Any advise or a "link" to some info would be greatly appreciated. I have been car-less for two years and folowing the Club forum has kept my interest alive. Thanks to all of you folks who have been "around", I have enjoyed the magazine and the forum . Gotta have a V8 ! Mike Firth

We have owned several flathead Fordomatic passenger cars over the years. Other than seemingly endless drippity leaks, a ridiculously short dipstick in 1951 and 1952, and less than ideal fuel economy, I very much like the Fordomatics. Feel free to call me at 519-666-2891 if you would like to discuss the matter.
