8BA Valves & Guides in a 59AB

I think the one piece guides with valves and keepers from a 8BA will work in a 59AB. Can anyone verify this? Thanks.

Yes - from personal experience they will and they are more robust and a better choice than the stock configuration.

I agree, and if you are not using adjustable lifters, they make it a lot easier to set the valve clearance.

If you use the 8BA type valves, make sure that you use the seals on the intake valves.

I have worked on cars for years but this is my first time on a flathead. Removing the valves and guides is a real pain even with the right tool. Thank goodness my guides were not stubborn. I am definitely going to put the 8BA components back in with the adjustable lifters.
