I have 1940 Fordor and am replacing the interior. What is process for removing the rear passenger assist rope that is attached to the rear of the front bench seat ?? I can't see any attachment screws. Thanks.

Push the stainless caps towards the doors. They slide onto a plate that is under the rope/cord. Once the caps are off this will expose the screws that hold it to the seat back.

Tom gave you his usual excellent advice. LeBaron Bonney has the replacement rope material, but no one to my knowledge, makes the ends - hold on to the ones you have for dear life. Tom
