Hello first time poster. Looking for some help on identifying my new 1935 ford truck. Trying to figure out what kind of body was on it? Like to know What kind of transmission as well? Debuting on restoring to original truck or turn it into a 1935 ford 1/2 ton pick up truck. Thank you for any and all feedback

On the chance you get this post, your truck serial number indicates the engine-transmission assembly was finished in June 1935. The time it took to get this engine into a truck frame varied depending in which assembly plant the truck was completed.

You have a 1935 Model 51 truck which is different than the 1935 Model 50 pickup. Basically, the common parts between the truck and pickup are the cab, hood, engine, headlights and a few other parts. Different are the frame, transmission, running gear, bumpers, fenders, running boards and lots of other parts. Some folks combine a pickup frame with a truck cab, but I prefer keeping things as they were if possible.
