Glenn, Yours is even nicer and also has an interesting history. If you could get a little closer you would see that the 1975 paint on mine is showing its age, making it a driver only, though it gets second prizes in the EFV8 Club Touring Class. Mechanically, it is in excellent shape: the motor runs very well in spite of its Detroit Lubricator carburetor, the brakes and steering are excellent and everything works except the fuel gauge. If you have old copies of the V8 Times, there was an article about it in the Oct. 1978 issue. Jay

Jay, I remember that article on your Phaeton! I bought my basket-case Phaeton in 1986. Every night after work I scanned one of my old V8 Times magazines looking for articles on the '32. I would read one of Dave Cole's "Model 18 Notes" and then run out to the garage to dig through boxes of parts to learn what I had. Great fun! Digital photography does wonders for my car too. The twenty year old nitrocellulose lacquer I sprayed in my garage has cracked in several places. Nevertheless, I still drive it at least once every month and it still gets its share of smiles and waves. Glenn

Glenn, Dave Cole helped me in a major way with my phaeton, both personally and in his Model 18 articles, which are my favorite in the V8 Times. Jay
