1935 3 Window Coupe Update

Managed to move camshaft forward just enough to rotate it and align it correctly Had to remove engine and transmission from car. Removed intake and heads, all valves and lifters. Take transmission off, access the cover on the back of the cam.. use a brass drift to move it ahead to allow me to rotate it. Reassembled all components .. with only one amateur's mistake.. put cylinder heads on wrong side.. a little extra work. Installed rebuilt distributer ( a BIG thanks to Michael @ Third Gen for an excellent rebuild) Prepped the engine for a test start up.. It started and ran smoothly with less than 2 cranks of the starter ..makes that lovely flathead sound. FYI the reason the crank and cam were misaligned I determined is when the installed new pistons, rings and crank bearings, they just put the crankshaft in without aligning it. They did not replace the camshaft.. (ran out of money??) This 1937 21 Stud with aluminum heads came as a spare with the coupe when I bought it. I have test run the engine a number of times for short durations. Next few days should give me time to install rad and coolant. Probably won't really be able to drive it yet up here in Canada as it won't be long before we see snow flakes.
