you may be able to find supposedly oe design from c&g ford parts, joes ford parts in uxberg mass. couple yrs ago i got one and tried to install. it seemed to made ass backwards.i gave up and got a small package of throttle return springs from i believe it was autozone or oreillys. hook one end over or under throttle arm on carb and other end which should line up to hook over generator band small bolt. worked for me so far 3yrs. Tom. the coil section is probly 3-4 in. and each end from coil about 3-4in..

I don't remember any spring going from the accelerator pedal linkage to the carburetor on a 1946 Ford. The spring on the cross shaft (P/N 99A-9725 ) should supply plenty of tension to close the throttle. The reproduction spring is available and works.
