My deck lid edges are bent in angle at the top of the lid. Does anyone know if this is normal or been bent in by someone in the past?

Are you able to post a photograph? The lid should "flow" with the body. In other words, no "dips".

I’ll get some pictures The top edge that Bends down an inch to fit into the drip channel is bent at a 45ndeg angle inward. Where as the other three edges are at a 90 deg angle.

The edges should follow the contour of the lid without additional bends and meet the edges of the surrounding metal without dips or rises with a consistent gaps.

Here is what I’m talking about. Being that I have had this car for 65 years it wasn’t done by me.

The edge is bent in. It should be straight and go straight down.
