I had recently been cheated and feel it best to inform others so they may avoid the same fate. Guy (Don Ingersol) had been very communicative but what i didn't know is what was NOT said. The communication has become non-existent since I'd told him I was not pleased. He had his chance to make it right and chose not to. Very telling of the individual. I have all of the communication should any of you desire... My advice? Member or not, stay away...

How did you pay. PayPal, credit card? If so file a complaint with PayPal or dispute the credit card payment. JMO

Check. I would not trust a promise to refund at this point. I'll live with the loss. Just don't want others to suffer the same fate.

Update... the seller, Don Ingersol, finally responded to me. His response was "they were the best I had". No apology, no offer to what might make me happy, no addressing the fact each arm is bent and pitted badly. Nope, just ".... the best I had". Okay the best cr*p he had still means these bumper arms are cr*p. NOT what I was led to believe they were.

When dealing with sellers it may be best to be up front and nice and firmly say what you want to happen. I have found one mans junk can be another mans treasure.

4 or 5 years ago I placed an order with Joe's Antique Auto. The next day I saw I had a missed call on my phone from Joe's. I called him back and he said the credit card he had on file for me was expired. I provided the updated info but he said "don't worry, I've already shipped your order". When I expressed my surprise about shipping something that he technically hadn't been paid for he told me that old car guys are honest. I guess that doesn't always hold true. At least not anymore.

40coupe, you are correct and may rest assured that after fifty years in this hobby, I know to ask questions. Still, that doesn't protect me from a liar. Don Ingersol, who advertise here flat out deceived me. I'd given him the chance to offer a compromise. His response was the parts were the best he had. Ha! Even though they didn't match what he told me. I'll live. It was only $150, a sum that apparently is sorely needed by a man that casts aside ethics for that small amount.

I'll throw my hat in the ring for "Joe's". He is top notch and will go the extra mile for you. More than once he has tracked down an item which has been listed as " out of stock " and found it for me. As already mentioned, friendly and prompt service will bring back customers time and time again.
