Hi, what thickness should the windshield glass be on my 47? The ones I had weren't original and got thrown out. Thanks.

The folks at Sanders should be able to answer your question about the correct glass thickness for your '47 Ford. https://www.sandersreproglass.com/

Right around .250 of an inch. I installed Sander's glass in my 42 and it was actually a few thousandths thicker than the original Ford glass.

I just put a micrometer on a section of windshield glass removed from my '46 Station Wagon and it was .270.
