Thank you. Just changed the oil so next one will be next year - but I will order the gasket now.

The 48-53 clean out plate gasket for the 6 cylinder and the 239 V-8 have the same P/N, so Mac's gasket should fit.

You can buy gasket material at Napa - cheap. Make a new gasket - easy enough to do.

My 46 coupe flathead V8 has a 49 engine. Heads stamped AB not RT as if truck engine. Holley carb.. The oil pan has a clean out plate., held on by about eight bolts. I assume the guy who restored it put a truck oil pan on, specifically for the purpose of being able occasionally clean out sludge. The plate gasket is oil soaked and I would like to replace it. Macs is the only place with anything close and it specifically states it is for a six cylinder engine, truck, and appears to have fewer bolt holes. Suggestions please.
