VIEWING MULTIPLE TOPICS ON SCREEN: You can choose to see more than 10 Topics at a time ... Log In and choose "Preferences" from the top bar on the Forum page. Scroll down and Change the "Default Topics Returned" parameter to 25 or 50, and save the changes. Since this setting is stored in your browser 'cookies' (if enabled), it seems to use that stored value even if you are not logged in. So, if you use a PC that you haven't logged into the forum from, the setting still seem to remain at the default.
EXTERNAL PHOTO LINKS ON FORUM: You can still use external photo links in your posts on the new forum. They follow the rules of any link in that they have to have the URL link qualified down to the full image file name (example: .jpg). The links will open in a new browser window, the same as an uploaded image attached to a post. Since an image attachment to any post does not display inline with the post, the results are the same. You can use multiple external links within a post. This link is from photos on a site from Don Clink's 'Deuce@75' albums:

Using links from photo sites such as Photobucket can help in "size" issue with uploaded attachment files. For best viewing in web browsers, photos should be around the 800x600 pixel range, and probably not more than 1024x768. Most cameras today store HUGE jpg image files, as the default settings are in the 7, 8, 10, and 12Mb image sizes. The image files that are then attached are very large, and the browser can't display the full image size without using the scroll bars. Use the re-sizing functions of your photo editing software to reduce the image to 800x600, which reduces the file sixe and the image load time in the browser. Don uses Google's free Picassa3 software, which is an excellent photo management product. All of the photo albums of the Deuce, Grand National, and Auburn that are links on the NORG site were built using Picassa's web creation functions. And it's free? (THANKS to Don Clink for the info!)

WHEN others click on your profile, they will see this information.

What is the average gas mileage for a 1936 Ford 2 door sedan. How many miles on average should you get out of the 14 gallon tank.

16 ~ 18 is good. Don't try for more than 200 miles on a tank.

Mileage of 16-18, your running it damm lean and very slow. More like 12 to 14 MPG at 50 to 60 MPH.

That's more like it. I gas up around 100 mi. Dought if you could ever go 200 on a tank full !!! ken ct

How fast are you going to drive it and what are the traffic conditions? The car was made to be driven in the 20-45 mph range, in light traffic. When you drive faster the air resistance will decrease mileage. Alan drives with an egg between his foot and the accelerator pedal and he hasn't broken it yet. My foot was infused with lead at an early age and I get around 14 mpg around town and around 15 mpg on the highway with my 40 Merc.

If you don't trust your gauge, fill up around 100 miles.

Well, actually, I don't get that 16 ~ 18 mileage, I just repeated that from others who have answered the same question many times. I began to believe the hype, I guess! I do know that for many years, the car manufacturers did promote mileage based on tank capacity for a range of 200 miles, so the projection does fall into that range. Myself, yes, I fill up soon after 100 miles, but I do remember one trip across Utah that I ignored the signs, and coasted into a very questionable fueling station (I won't even call it a gas station!) a few miles inside Colorado on highway 70. That gas was so bad... well, that's another story!

Hey, as long as it runs good, plugs look good, & exhaust smells "right"....just enjoy the ride.

Hey there...........ah, old timers of the Early Ford V-8 Club (I guess since I have one of these, I am must be one now too).
Do you remember the first gas crisis? Someone created these bumper stickers for the Club way back then.
I don't know who, but at the 1983 Grand National in Dearborn, I remember seeing more than one of these on Early Ford V-8 Club vehicles in the parking lot of the Dearborn Hyatt Regency.
Were the bumper stickers truthful............I'll let you decide. But they were a great production of Ford Corporate Blue.

I have a '38 club coupe with a 276" 8BA, 3 speed, and 3.78 rear. A couple of years ago I drove 110 mi to a car show and back. It was mostly interstate driving 60-65. I filled it to the brim leaving and to the brim at the same pump on return. I used a GPS for trip mileage and got 16 mpg. Driving short trips around our small community it gets about 10 mpg. That trip was the only time I have ever filled it up. I usually buy enough to last about a month to keep the gas fresh. I do have an accurate fuel gauge.
