Unfortunately I don't have one to measure. Can you go to the auto parts store and measure one of their drums? You will probably have to buy new drums any way so measure those that you will have to use.

What would outside diameter of a F1 11 inch drum be? Trying to setup desired rim with brake drums. Did purchase 1953 front backing plates.

They show up at swap meets periodically. You can buy new drums, so all you need are the hubs and backing plates. You will use the 53-56 F-100s. Many F-100 owners have converted to discs so the parts are out there. You might call some of the early F-100 parts suppliers as they may have some that were taken off pickups. Also check your area for salvage yards that deal in older model cars and pickups. All the internal parts for the brakes can be obtained at most auto parts stores. You will need to change the inner bearing and seal for the conversion to the early spindles. You will use the Koyo roller bearing #14116 and National seal # 473440. You will also have to chamfer the inner race of the bearing so it properly fits the spindle. you will also have to slightly notch the top of the spindle to clear the brake hose fitting. You regular master cylinder will work just fine.

For the conversion, go over to the HAMB or the Barn, you might get detailed instructions or even part numbers. Paul in CT

Thanks for the reply. I am investigating parts for F100 conversion. Ant pictures of front brake setup? Trying to find the right combination of parts for my project.

I like the look of the wide 5 rims, what rims are you considering? If I wanted a non stock rim it would be the '40-'48 Ford and the problem would go away. You should also try posting your question on HAMB: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/forums/the-hokey-ass-message-board.5/ Charlie Stephens
