This is really a worthless light switch. It is a knob that pulls out on the '35 and pushes in on the '36. Its' sole purpose is to light up the dash lights only. It has no effect on the headlights. The part is hard to find today primarily because the canister of the switch was made out of cardboard and didn't last long. If you do find one in working order it could set you back $50+ The wiring you currently have with dash lights coming on when the headlights are turned on is the logical way Henry should have designed it. As for what to do with the hole in the dash? I know of several guys who have made a practical use out of it by putting a fog light switch in it. Tom

Their are 2 wires to the switch NOT 1 // ken ct. A good wireing diagram will tell you the colors and where they connect to. ken
