I bought two Optimas way back when they were on sale. When placed and wrapped together they fit just fine. I had a wiring harness made up by a boat wiring harness maker that connect s them up to make a super 6 volt battery. I also added a charging port to it so I can just pull in and plug them into my battery tender. Priceless!

The Optima can easily fit beneath the floor board. It needs to be tipped at an angle. If authenticity is not paramount to you (it doesn't appear to be) then I'd go with the Optima. They last for years and will deliver the most CCA's.

The Optima is 1.5" taller than a group 2L battery. Here is a link to battery size by group number https://www.batteryequivalents.com/bci-battery-group-size-chart.html
