Need some information on the hood latch on a 1937. Mine won't rotate all the way closed. Where can I find a schemetic or picture of the proper set up? Mine will close and lock, but the hood ornament (handle) stays sideways. Very unbecoming, looks like those guys that wear their baseball hat brim off to the side of their heads.

Not sure what is wrong. Perhaps the attachment can help ensure you have all the correct parts and assembled properly. I can take more specific pics if you want. gregg

Maybe the shaft in the handle just needs to be re-indexed by 90 degrees.

Sounds like the square part of the handle shaft is off by 90 degrees. With the hood up, put the handle in the locked position. Unbolt the handle , pull it up and turn 90 degrees and bolt it back down.

I thank all three of you for your help. I will tackle the problem tomorrow. Those pictures were beyond outstanding. If I need help, I will whine more.
