My bad..., I was visualizing a 1942 Dist. I'm brand new to the early Ford V8's and am learning as I go! Thanks Guys!

Yes it would,37 dist and 41 dist are the same unit including coil is same one. except the 11-A parts are inside the unit and outwardly look the same as a 37 including the coil setup. Unless you have something diff on there. That would be the easyist way to go. ken ct.

You can simply install a 1941 Distributor on your 1937 engine. It fits without modification and looks stock.

Very easy to do when you have all the correct parts from a 11-A dist. ken ct. cam and shaft $ 15 // rotating plate w/weights $ 15 // point plate (use existing one need NOT change) . I think that's all that's needed, havent done one in many mths. ken ct.

I have not used his service, but installing the 41 advance mechanism in an earlier distributor is a good idea.

'37 Ford 78 V8 85 I was looking around online and saw a distributor rebuiler that offers a modification that improves the timing adavance on pre-1941 Flathead Distributors. Any of you guys familiar with this??? http://www.classicparts4cars.com/1932-1933-1934-1935-1936-1937-1938-Ford-Distributor-Modification.htm
