I have a a model Speedster with a front axle problem. I have rebushed the spindles. But the axle kingpin holes are worn bad. Is there any way to renew the kingpin holes? Is a new axle the only answer? I forgot to state the axle is from 40 ford with hyd brakes.

Machine work to repair the king pin bores would be expensive, whereas good '40 Ford axles are a dime a dozen. Place an ad, they are out there. Even I may have a couple extra.

I agree, finding a different axle and using it would be cheaper and better than trying to sleeve the old axle and then maybe have to bend it to correct the caster and camber, because the sleeve changed them.
