I have a brace in for my 1941 Ford Coupe and I have no clue what or where it goes.I appreciate any help.

It isn't for the running boards.Here are the measurements,,,, 10 inches wide at the widest point,3 1/2 at the narrow end.the hole in the narrow end is 1 inch,around the hole is 3 flat head screws.at the top(?) are short wings(?) with a bolt hole in them.
