its the 24 bolt head and it is the the 1939, original motor, I guess that don't mean that it wasn't made in 38---However I went an ordered two flex hoses 22 inches long with 1-3/4 ID there going to work for now. I'll dress it up later after I get it running and put back together for the finial time after panting. thanks for the reply scott

they are in the center of the head , the upper radiator outlets are at a 22 degree angle down

Does your pickup have the original 38 motor with the water outlets in the center of the heads or do you have the later flathead with the water outlets at the front of the heads?

Please will someone give me the correct part number or where to get upper and lower radiator hoses that will fit a 1939 1/2 ton ford pick up with the original flathead v-8 I seem to be missing something in the understanding for the 39 pickup . thanks scott
