Mike, everyone benefits from the Forum’s questions and answers. Your messaging secret sauce defeats that purpose.

I want to make it as stock as possible. I'd like to use the engine that's in it. I have another engine that came with it to "hot rod" it out but I don't want to do that. Basically I want to get it running, take it to car shows, on club drives etc. I enabled PM's. Thanks!
Thank you!!

I suppose it may be best if you asked specific questions.... I promise to answer all to the best of my ability. You may be best served to email me directly as I check that each day. What are your plans with this truck? Restoring it to original specifications? Making it a "driver"? From the little I have seen, it appears you have a rather nice vehicle. Yes I will take all the help I can get!! What are your recommendations? I currently have the fuel tank pulled out as it was very rusty inside. Trying to see if I can get it cleaned out and resealed before buying a new one. I plan on draining all the fluids and replacing them. I have new spark plugs ready to go in. I plan to get new wires and replace hoses.

The engine appears to be correct for your '40. There are a number of things that are not correct. If you'd like my help with this project, I'm here for you.
