Older post I know and I'm sure you've got everything taken care of, but I just wanted to say that pickup is beautiful!

I would suggest you get the proper Carb. for your vehicle rebuild and not the Stromberg. Originally the vehicle had a Holley or Ford 94 Model 91-99 Charlie Schwindler in NY is the rebuild person for this Carb and may be able to supply a proper core as well as rebuild, see the club rooster.

Btw, anything over 2.5 psi fuel pressure will force fuel past the needle and seat in the carb and give you a very rich idle. Also will push excess fuel past the rings and dilute your oil. If you are going to use an electric pump you need a pressure regulator and gauge.

I would be interested in that truck if you ever want to sell it. Are you interested in a 61 Chevy Bubbletop with a 409, dual quad, four speed?

If you live in Olympia , Washington and are a V-8 Club member , use your roster and look for club members near you and call them. They may be able to help or give you names of others to help. There are many members in Washington. In fact you can access some of the Washington Clubs in the left hand menu of this site. Go to Regional Club Directory and then scroll down to Washington. Open that page and you will see four regional groups with phone numbers of the presidents. I'm sure one of those groups is near Olympia. BTW that is one nice '40 pickup.

For carb parts or repair if your truck does have a Stromberg Uncle Max is your man. Max Musgrove Info@97-express.com 435.322.0102 1173 South 1100 East Salt Lake City, Utah 84105 U.S.A. Next question, are you sure its a Stromberg and not a Holley? If its a Holley then Daytona Carburetor for a carb kit. https://daytonaparts.com/ Another option if its a Holley is to send it to Charlie Schwendler 716 662 9159.....cas5845@yahoo.com He rebuilt the Holley 94 on the 8ba I have in my '39 p/u and it runs like new. Good luck getting your truck running.
