anyone have experience with a sealant other than INDIAN HEAD SHELLAC for radiator hoses. i'd rather use something that doesn't harden. kubes40 recommended the sh*llac in an earlier post. https://www.earlyfordv8.org/forum/viewmessages.cfm?forum=14&topic=12991

You can use Permatex No. 2 Non-Hardening Sealant.

I use nothing, good clamps will seal a good hose in a non or low pressure system.

Using a sealant on the lower hoses makes them easier to install on the bottom of the radiator. Sometimes the lower hoses are too long and you may have to cut as much as three inches off of them to get them to fit properly.

clear silcone...just wipe with your finger on the inside of the hose lightly

Be careful with that silicone; the hoses could slide off if to much is used!
