In the rear frame horn cover there is a pair of side by side .50" holes just behind the forward edge of the covers. Would anyone know what these are for and what would go in them. Mine are open. Thanks, Kevin

If they are on the top of the cover they accept rubber bumpers so the cover does not rattle against the gas tank and body. Aprons with two holes are the later style apron. This information comes from page7-7 of the V-8 Club's 1932 book. If you do not have this book and own a 32 you will find that this book can answer all your questions. It's the most comprehensive book on the 32 Ford ever published. You can purchase the book on the front page of this site.

Is there anyone reproducing these rubber bumpers accurately?

Bob Drake used to have these bumpers and since you can't see them I wouldn't worry about the accuracy of the reproduction. I didn't check the ones I got from him (30 years ago)but I don't remember any problems. Charlie Stephens

I recently purchased a pair of rear frame horn covers from Brookville Roadster in Ohio. With the frame horn covers were included a cover to gas tank anti-squeak kit which included the rubber bumpers you need. The kit is made by Vintique Inc. The kit # is B-16398. I don't have a phone # for Vintique but you may be able to get them from Brookville. Their # is 937-833-4605 Hope this helps.
