I'm checking out the torque that was used on my Model B 4 cylinder engine, supposedly rebuilt but has never been fired up. I pulled the pan and checked #2 rod cap and it registered 80 lbs. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what is proper for the rods and the mains. I believe the Model A torque on rods is 40 to 50 lbs.

If you have the "castellated" nuts on the rods (with the cotter pins), 35-40 ft lbs. For self locking, 40-45. Main bearings are 75-80.
