You'll get a variety of answers regarding oil. I would recommend using detergent oil as it keeps the motor cleaner. Recently I found Quaker State Defy which has added zinc which you need for additional lubricating qualities. I think you would be fine using straight 30 wt. or 20/40 weight.

Congratulations on your purchase and welcome to the Forum. I am sure that you will enjoy driving such a nice car. As Tom said, you will get many opinions on this question. Here is mine: I agree with Tom on which oil to use, but my preference is a good quality 10W-30 oil for most of the cars. I would go with the heavier oil if your car burns more than 1 quart every 500 miles. The thinner oil helps keep my cars run cooler. One of the most important things that you can do is to drive the car at least 30 minutes before parking it. This helps to evaporate the moisture created by burning the fuel. The moisture combines with the oil and the contaminants from burning the fuel and turns into sludge. Be sure to come back here if you have any more questions.
