Just purchased a 1946 Ford, Super Deluxe Business Coupe...well done, and very nice...but the heater switch, which has accentuated positions, I.e,. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Defrost..is not stopping..you have to pull the hot lead, or the fan still runs...does anyone know where I can get a replacement, correct, switch for this? Thanks...appreciate any help. John, Muncy, Pa.

What is manufacturer of the heater ? (this year may have offered optional heaters and the design/specs of the switch may have varied accordingly)

I bought one a few years ago for our 46. Stacy Brown @ Antique auto supply in Arlington, TX. Our switch has high/low for the heat and high/low for the defroster. John

Is this an original switch and heater? The original switch would have 5 positions, off in the center and low and high fan speeds in each direction. the original heater would be rectangular with 3 doors in front and a cable control for the defroster. The heater you have may work fine, but it sounds like you may have the wrong switch or it may be hooked up wrong. Some pictures of the heater and switch would be helpful. Gene
