I would venture a guess that a '36 banjo wheel in the condition like the one I posted a picture of would be worth in the $400/$500 range. A vast majority of the original banjos have loose spokes, damaged hubs and the hard rubber covering needs extensive repairs. The wheel I have has not been on a car for over fifty years. It has perfect tight spokes, an excellent hub and the hard rubber covering has only a few minor cracks that would be easy to repair and repaint. It is not for sale.. I might put it back on my '36 coupe some day.

Good used 36 banjos will bring $200-400. A Drake repo(if you cn find one)will also bring the same money.Drake quit making them a few years ago, but once in awhile they pop up on e-Bay.

Bob Drake used to make a nice repop of the original '36 Ford banjo steering wheel. They were slightly less robust than an original Ford banjo wheel

There is a big difference between the '36 and later banjo steering wheels.. The '36 wheel is basicly flat where-as the later wheels have a curve to the spooks which creates a dish shape.

Hmmm...so the 36 banjos had a different diameter for the light switch/horn rod assembly than 39?

I have a reproduction banjo wheel on my 35 and the horn button and everything else fits perfect. It's an older reproduction that came on the car when purchased so maybe they were making them right back then.

There is a repo banjo wheel that will fit your shaft and column. The problem is they are a copy of the 39 banjo and your horn button will not fit it. No one repos horn buttons so you would have to find a 38-39 button/horn rod.
