I recently bought a '38 Deluxe. The windshield mechanism works smoothly but lacks about 3/16" closing against the body. Is there an adjustment? thanks, Gene

Take the arms loose from the windshield frame and make sure the frame is not binding. If the frame has been removed from the car at one time it's possible it was not put back correctly. It may be hanging up on the lower body opening. Just went through this with a 37.The main adjustment to the hinges is behind the header panel

I does appear the windshield has been changed. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check it out.

In looking closer I see that the right side closes tight against the body before the left side gasket touches. I hope that will correct with hinge adjustment. It appears fairly time consuming to remove the windshield garnish and the header. There are so many things to go through to get a car checked out, adjusted, and repaired like you want it. Thanks for the advice, I'll probably be back for more. Gene
