I ordered a stock exhaust system for my 50 and it seems to fit pretty well. One question - the tail pipe has a slight bend in it about 3 feet from the end causing it to come out the back at a slight angle (10 degees or so) towards the center of the car - is that the way it is supposed to be? The stock pipes were gone when I got it and all the pictures I can find are duals.

Yes that is correct, I think it looks great with duals angled in toward each other! On my '51 with continental kit it is even more pronounced...

I posted the same question on the Shoebox Ford Forum and got 3 replies - 2 that angled is correct and 1 that it should be straight. So it's 3 angled and 2 straight. Anyone else want to weigh in? It was pointed out to me there is a diagram on p. 210 of the shop manual that shows it angled and there is an angled bump on the rear crossmember where the rear hanger attaches to the rear crossmember that causes the rear hanger to be angled. I want it the way it would have come from the factory. There is no mention of it in the 49-51 restoreres guide.
