I just bought a radiator cap off e-bay that was supposed to fit my 1936 Ford Sedan flathead v-8 and the portion of the cap that goes into the radiator filler hole is slightly too large. The cap is square with ears and says WATER evrseal no P-2. Any suggestions.

The R-2 Everseal cap is not for the Ford V-8. You need the R-1. See attached image.

I have three 48-8100 nos caps which is correct in the "green bible".Similar shape but has what I'd describe as like a spring handle on top.If you still need one call me at 570-875-4417 and ask for John Kelley.Don't have a good way to take a picture but can describe it for you.
