Dustbowl, The Fords for export were all built in Canada, of that I am sure. Ford of Canada had their own system of numbering, and i know of nobody who can help with the serial number question. There were complete Fords shipped, knockdown Fords shipped, and to some locations such as Australia and South Africa, there were local variations of some body parts indicating that at least those body parts were manufactured at the final destination. The Canadian version of Ford itself contained a number of variations from the Stateside Ford, mostly due, as I understand, to an import tax that made Canadian parts a necessity. These variations were in most cases of concealed mechanical parts, to maintain the Ford identity. All the export Fords would have contained those variations as opposed to the American versions. The Argentina Ford, I believe, was a complete assembly when shipped from Canada.
