Looking for a source, for the 11A-17595 silencer/connector fitting that is on the intake manifold end of the vacuum advance/wiper motor line. If not available, anyone have a picture of it.... maybe I could duplicate something close. Thanks

The "silencer" looks like, and is about the same size, as the oil pressure sender. C&G shows a wiper tube to intake brass fitting on page 218 of their catalog. The online version is www.cgfordparts.com I don't know of any source for the original part, unless someone has a used one. Your wiper will work with the part, and given the use of the wipers, particular on an open car, makes it non-critical, anyway.

I couldn't find any when I needed one. What I found was a grungy old intake manifold in a flea market for $5.00 that had one in it. Lots of manifolds still around with the silencer still in it. Ken

Thanks for the replies Super and 39 Ken, I had to go to a convention in Nashville that my work put on (work is the curse of the drinking class), so I am late thanking you. Now knowing what to look for, I found 2 manifolds listed on E-Bay with the connector installed. I'm trying to get the seller to just sell the silencer. Thanks again

It is sometimes easier, and cheaper overall, to just buy the whole manifold at a swap meet to get the parts, particularly if it fits your car.

There was one on E bay that was listed at $49. It got no takers.

The last intake manifold, complete with carb, cost us $50 at a swap meet.
