All this recent talk and impressive displays of original tools got me thinking that perhaps I should work to get a complete set of tools for my '34. I have none - anybody have an estimate what a set would be worth IF I could find them?

Bill, I strongly advise you contact Lin Stacey. He is the V8 Club's Tool Adviser. 1) He is a great guy. 2) His prices are quite reasonable. 3) He KNOWS what the correct tools are for your car. NO mistakes - period. Mike Kubarth

Fully agree with Mike about Lin - he's the person to go to. I found that the email address for Lin listed in the V8 magazine is actually incorrect - should be: linstacey@sbcglobal.net Wayne

Thanks to all for the lead to Lin Stacey. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that a complete set of tools are available for only ~$400.

I would say that is a very good price for a complete set. I have actually seen complete correct sets for Model A's go as high as $800 on ebay. The Model A C-2 jack from 1930/31 alone can go for well over $200.
