I have noticed the same thing. This happened before and was resolved for a while and seems to be back again. The problem is that when you open the EFV8 site the "Forum Statistics" puts the same time and date that you came here as the last time you visited the site, that is why you have no new messages icon and when a new one is posted after you are here then you will get the new messages icon. Hopefully now that it has been mentioned the web administrator will fix it.

Yea, they seem to show up randomly right now - sometimes there, sometimes not.

Very smart system. I mentioned the missing icon and my complaint showed up on my computer with an icon (but no other topics had one. Hmmmm...

I seem to be missing the update icons that normally appear to the left of the subject when looking at the list of topics. Anyone else have this issue? Was there a software update? Thanks
