Positive ground or negative ground does not make any difference with light bulb sockets, neither does 6V or 12V. The sockets are universal and will work with any electrical system.

If you have signal lights, you will have distinguish between the parking and signal wires and connect them to the correct terminal in the socket. The socket itself grounds the light bulb to the body.

I recently purchased a parking light socket and wire for my 1952 ford Victoria. The ad said that was suitable f or Fords from 1952-59. Right away a flag went up because i remember Ford went from Positive ground to negative ground around 1955. The dealer said that it did not make any difference? I'm not convinced. What do you think?
