The front bearing and speedo gear are behind the u-joint, so I believe they are both lubed by the grease that is in the u-joint "clamsh*ll" housing.

I am not exactly sure that I understand your questions. The speedometer gears should be lubricated by the gear oil in the transmission. The driveshaft center bearing gets lubricated by the grease fitting on the outer driveshaft tube. The 1941 Ford Reference Book (Owners Manual) says to lubricate this bearing with "Pressure Gun Lubricant".

Hello I was wondering how the front roller bearing and speedometer gears get lubricated? Also how much clearance should be between the roller bearing and the driveshaft? The driveshaft looks good but the bearing feels loose to me on the driveshaft, thanks John
