Catfish, if you go to Ledlight.com with the number off orig. tail bulb #1158? should be able to get listing for eqiv. led. no i havn't changed the tail bulbs when i put new tail bulbs in my '37 prob. 4 yrs ago approx. i took foil cupcake liners cut holes just big enough for bulb bases to slip through. that seem to increase the brightness some. this was before i realized there was access to leds for the classic car orig. sockets. on the '37 the tail light trim rings are a pain to deal with, maybe when a bulb burns out i will change out to Leds. i do have led headlights and run/park bulbs. Tom.

Thanks very much for replying. I have not had a chance to remove to remove the existing bulbs yet. Probably tomorrow. I do believe you are correct in that I have the wrong bulbs. Have you changed your brake/tail lights to LED? If so what LEDLights part number? Thanks again for your help!

the mounting ring on the carpenter site is correct i'm almost certain. the mountaing ring shown in your pic on left on led is incorrect. Ledlight.com has a correct bulb for your cars headlight socket, although a headsup to you. on my '37 iv'e installed leds from Ledlight.com,in the orig styled sockets but have in mind that through the heavly fluted lens both our cars have the leds do not project very far down road. in my case i dont drive but during dusk mostly daytime. the leds are much brighter whiter light output to be seen by other motorists. i also have aux. driving lights mounted to fender brackets. Tom. I believe the part#you need would be #62528. have you had the original bulb out to compare?

Good morning. I am looking to install LED headlights in my 1938 Ford Deluxe Fordor. I read the Ford Barn post referenced in this post recommending LEDLights.com part number 74398. I understand this post was specifically referring to a 1936 Ford. Looking at Dennis Carpenter it looks like the same bulb fits 1935-1939. What I received doesn’t look like it will fit without modification. Did I order the wrong part? See attached pictures.

Thank you MG. It was LEDlight.com I should have remembered that. The ford barn had the post with the pictures that I remember seeing in the V8 times. I really appreciate your help! Thanks again. Frank
