Your condenser could also cause this problem.

"I removed wire from coil and checked resistance of coil terminal and tested and found terminal grounded out. Possibly coil bad and shorted?" Yes, if you found zero resistance, indicates shorted coil. Coil should measure about 0.8-1.0 ohms. Skip's rebuilt coils have a fantastic reputation, but no doubt he would say they can't all be expected to be flawless or last forever. Another thing that may be happening: most ohmmeters are designed for electronics, measure in kilo-ohms. (thousands of ohms) Your meter may show such a small reading, down below 1 ohm, as zero.

It is the normal function of a resistor to get hot, thereby providing a variable resistance to the circuit depending on the load. With no load, you will test at full battery voltage, and less as the load increases to a drop of about 2 volts and hot enough to burn your fingers. These units are relatively trouble free but for the terminals adding more resistance than desired. Your coil may well be ready for a rebuild, but your distributor may also require attention as well, and the replacement of your condenser would be a good start, followed by, if needed, sending your coil to Skip Haney in Florida for a rebuild, and your distributor to one of many that specialize in those units.

Lost ignition fire to plugs. Replaced ignition coil resistance unit(ICR 40) hopefully solve problem. Try cranking and ICR gets hot quickly. I removed wire from coil and checked resistance of coil terminal and tested and found terminal grounded out. Possibly coil bad and shorted? Thanks for any help
