Yes, it is threaded. They typically come out easily.

I think the tube in question is the dipstick tube, which as kubes states, is threaded into the fitting on the side of the oil pan. Unless I’m mistaken, the oil filler tube on my ‘46, 59AB, is part of the fuel pump stand on the rear of the valve cover/intake manifold.
