1939 Ford- deep dish hubcaps- because the spring steel clips being slightly bent I will have a hubcap come off and roll down the road. Several clips are missing as well. I am concerned about heating them and bending back. Maybe super glue shims to tighten connections?? Would appreciate thoughts on this.

I had a 1936 with the same issue. First make sure you have all 5 clips present. I also put a few dabs of rtv around the edge of the hubcaps just as added insurance.

I used these on my 1936 Ford sedan and they work well. I lost a hubcap as well. This should fix the problem.
