The 1953 Ford Passenger Car Shop Manual Supplement simply says to tighten the Main Bearing Bolts to a torque of 95-105 Ft. Lbs. without giving a sequence. If it were mine, I would tighten the center main bearing cap first, then the rear main cap and finally the front cap.

I would also tighten to 50% of the value on all of the mains and then go 50% of the remaining value and finally tighten to the finished value (50 ft lbs, 75 ft lbs and 100 ft lbs). Rotate the crankshaft at least on full turn between each sequence.
