I'm trying to adjust the stromberg carb linkage on my 35, should the rod that goes directly into the carb protrude all the way in at full throttle?

Check to see if the carburator butterflies are fully open. Have someone push the gas pedal all the way to the floor while you look down the carb, engine off of course.

With the throttle depressed fully the Carb. throttle linkage at the Carb. should be full open and full closed to the stop screw when not depressed. The only adjustment is to bend the firewalll throttle control to get full throttle. If too far off you may have the wrong length linkage from the firewall throttle control to the Carb. should be about 10-1/2" L Don't bend anything on the Carb or the linkage to it. Slight bend at the firewall linkage/
