Most of the logos on the battery cases I've seen were a yellow/gold color.

81A-10655-A was a 17 plate 100 amp battery, identified with a gold oval. installed as original equipment. 81A- 10655-B was a 15 plate 90 amp battery, identified with a green oval, available as a service replacement. It is unclear as whether the 90 amp battery was ever installed as original equipment on any Ford. If you use green paint on your battery and enter for point judging, you should have documentation that it had been installed as original equipment. Testors Gold paint is as good as it gets for color and ease of use. Small hard rubber printing rollers are available at hobby shops, and do an excellent job of rolling color onto the battery. No touch up with a brush, just a couple of rolls across the flat for complete coverage and let it go at that.

The letters and oval were gold on the '37 production batteries as well.
